If the vine doesn't have fuzzy or hairy shoots (such as Concord does), smooth stemmed green shoots can be steamed and eaten, though you might want to sweeten them a bit - they tend to be acid.

Hello All,
Every year I get a couple of grape suckers coming up from the base of my
vines. Can these be rooted?
Hate to just toss things away. Especially when you can sell them!
