Anton, are you sure the cultivar's name wasn't 'Coronation'? I've seen that name in old fruit-growing books, but not 'Carnation." I suspect that the only place where either can be found is in one of the national germplasm repositories. -- Sam Brungardt, St. Paul, Minn. (Zone 4)

Anyone know a source for the 'Carnation' sour cherry? There are trees at Monticello, so I know they must exist, but I can find them nowhere. I've considered getting budwood from the germplasm repository, but I can't T-bud my way out of wet paper bag.

If anyone knows a source, please let me know. If anyone is willing to custom propagate a tree or few, please contact me off-list.
