Gang:

I am attempting to collect a little bit of demographic data and I hope you
would be kind enough to assist me. It is in reference to gardening books. I
am interested in what you want in a book on horticulture that you are not
finding. What makes a good gardening book, and what makes a bad one. In
case this is not clear this is for a commercial venture; I wish to be very
up-front about that.

Thanking you in advance for any consideration you give this matter,

TFB

Hello All,

I was at a pruning workshop at the University of Guelph (Ag. Univ.)
yesterday and the professor recommended against tying apple branches in
the lateral position. He indicated that it would fruit earlier, but the
tree's root system may not be mature enough to anchor the tree with a
crop. He recommended giving the tree time to mature naturally, and not
to rush it.

Thoughts?

Later,
Tom
