I would use the "display resolution" of the computer
you plan to show it on as a guide for the pixel
resolution (72 DPI). If It look nice on the computer
sceen, it will look nice on the projector.

Lucky is right though, if you are looking for the best
quality, nothing will beat a photographic slide.

Well, I presented my first 'powerpoint' presentation lst month - consisting
of mostly of vintage photos - I scanned at 300 dpi - the picts projected
fine tho at this resolution the text of newsprint did was not readable when
projected, altho I have since been told that since the program was
developed with 'Corel presentations 8' and then run on a machine using
'Corel presentations 9' that the difference in programs can affect text
presentation - I dunno -
I've also talked to a fellow who has considerbly more experience and he said
that the size of the originals is an important consideration - a 2"X3" or an
8"X10" original, 300 dpi offers a lot more info out of an 8X10 - I hope
that a real 'expert' will chime in - DOUD
