I get all my containers from people throwing them out for the trash, usually right after they planted out things, most of the times the containers are new, & Ive gotten a lot of 5 & 10 gallon ones that way. Have never bought a container in my life.

Hi,
Or... Stop by your local pizza shop and ask for their empty 2 pound cans
of pizza sauce. They use them by the gross, and toss the empty cans.
Perfect size, and they last a long time. They are even painted with food
grade paint on the inside.

An electronic newsletter to which I subscribe urges people to either buy
nursery cans and flower pots immediately or order them fast. Gardeners

A war with Iraq could lead to very high container prices, according to
container manufacturers. Crude oil is used to make plastic pots, and it has
risen from $16 per barrel 6 months ago to $35 today. A war could raise
prices to $50 and beyond.
