Paul:
I can recommend the following places for trees and benchgrafts or scion
wood. I've gotten Apple material from all of them; peaches from ACN,
Cumberland, Valley, Hollydale and Amos Fisher; sour cherries from ACN and
Stark Bros. The places I've dealt with are:

Fedco-John Bunker's operation-very nice informative
catalog-I've gotten
scion wood for several antique Maine and other
apples-good place;
Adams County Nursery (ACN)-(717)-677-8105-great to deal
with, has a
great selection of commercial and some antique
apples, also has
many orchard supplies;
Greenmantle Nursery, Garbersville, Ca.(707)-986-7504-has
many red
fleshed varieties; I've gotten good benchgrafts from
them;
Amos Fisher, White Oak Nursery, Strasburg, Pa-very
reasonably priced
trees. Amos is Amish so you must contact him by
mail;
Manning Nursery, Lester, W. VA-(804)-934-6558-nice
selection of
modern and antique varieties. I've gotten very nice
benchgrafts from
Carlos;
Rocky Meadow Nursery-IN-Ed Fackler's place-was very good
when Ed
had it-I haven't ordered from it since he sold it;
Big Horse Creek Farm-Lansing, NC (336)-384-1134-listing of
many old
southern and Carolina varieties;
Hollydale Nursery, TN (8000-222-3026-many peaches and a
few apples;
Cumberland Valley Nurseries, TN (931)-668-4153-another
peach tree
supplier-many varieties.
I hope this helps. You might also want to look at the Backyard Fruit
Growers Site and the links from that.

Good luck! Chris Patterson
