Title: Re: [NAFEX] PRUNUS INSITITIA 'ST. JULIAN' The fruit makes very good jam, and is good to eat if you leave it to ripen as long as possible.

Does anyone know what kind of fruit comes from seedlings grown from
PRUNUS INSITITIA 'ST. JULIAN' (ST. JULIAN PLUM)?
Does the fruit have any good qualities?
Susceptible or resistant to pests?
Ordinarilly such seedlings are grown to graft other plums onto them.
I understand Institia to be the species producing the Damson plum, a round european plum.
