Cool ! Others with the same experience ! One autumn I had some apples sprout their seeds before opening fruit. I don't recall the cultivar, but the only thing I did different than any other time in my life was to store the bag of apples in a place at a fairly steady 45 to 50 degrees (f).

I have seen sprouted seeds in Granny Smith from Australia. Same neighborhood as your apple.
