- Subject: [NAFEX] pawpaws during drought
- Date: Fri, 6 Sep 2002 15:25:15 -0400
We are quite dry, though not as bad as over the mountains in NC.
During our last drought a few years ago, I noticed that pawpaws still set
and ripened a sizeable crop, without discernable fruit drop. I failed to
mulch our trees this year, but still a good crop of normal fruit with no
supplemental water.
Any observations on the drought resistance of established pawpaws in your
areas?
