So much for gardening being a peaceful, calming activity !

My reply:

I know that was meant as humor but historically gardening and agriculture has
never been a peaceful, calming activity. The history of agriculture is
filled with the constant strife before those wishing to develop the land to
support a less nomadic way and those that prey on those who nurture the land.

In fact there are several martial arts weapons practices that are agriculture
based; the need stemming from necessity. Agriculture implements that have
noted martial history's include:

Nunchakus (agricultural flail for beating rice/wheat)
Kuwa (Japanese Hoe)
Tonfa (millstone handle)
Kama (hand sickle)
Naginata (long sickle (12 feet)

All the best, TFB
