It's a cultural thing (or lack thereof). Too many people don't care about the info/knowledge, or don't have a clue; but they do know that they want to buy pretty. BSO (Bright Shiny Object) Syndrome.

This is wonderful. Now, if someone would just print THOSE up, maybe print
dealers would stop cutting up old books, like The Pears of New York just for
the color pictures.
