I have a small pond (1/2 acre). What does duck weed look like? I have a lot

reduce cattails?
Bruce,
The filamentous type vegetation can be controlled, to some degree, by fertilization or use of one of the sunshade(AquaShade, etc.) products that diminish penetration of sunlight.
Cattails are best controlled by making certain that pond edges drop off rapidly to a depth of at least 18-24 inches. Shallow, sloping pond banks are the ideal spot for cattails.
