Korean bush cherry is most likely Prunus tomentosa or possibly P.
jacquemontii. Professor Meader bred Jan, Joy, and Joel using P.
jacquemontii as one parent. It ripens in the fall and has fruit like a pie
cherry. Hansen's material was mostly from P. besseyi.
