- Subject: [NAFEX] Bug? - Grape
- Date: Wed, 15 May 2002 12:07:27 -0400 (EDT)
Hello,
The sun is shining today (knock on wood) and I was inspecting my grape
arbor. On the Vanessa there were beetles eating the leaf buds. What are
they and what can I do for them?
The beetle is about 1/2 to 1/4 the size of a green pea (little smaller
than lady bug). It is blue/black metallic and eats the bud of grapes.
The buds are just at the tan colored, begining to swell stage. Two
beetles are about the size of the bud.
All info appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom
