What Donna's described doesn't sound anything like YT or Lodi to me -
they're both nice, tart apples to eat out of hand, when they're just right,
but their 'window of opportunity' seems like it's about one day before they
are transformed into mealy tasteless things.
Both were ripe here 3-4 weeks ago, and I'm a bit north of Donna, so I would
suspect that the YT & Lodis in her neck of the woods have been gone for
about the same period of time.
