This is the other growth factor that I have wondered about. The aronia
seemed unwilling to produce new shoots and exhibited some yellowing of
the leaves. I knew this was not related to ph or N and have come to
assume that it was probably a combination of the UV exposure and lack of
humidity.
If I ever try again, it'll be under a large tree next to a ditch bank.
