Lon,
Too late! I've had Regent, Theissen, Smokey, Honeywood, Timm & Success in
place for several years, got Martin, Nelson, and Parkhill this spring. So
far (knock on wood) I've not had any problems with rust - and there are
plenty J.virginiana around here. The Timm&Success seedlings I got from
Bear Creek a number of years ago have been the most prolific producers, so
far, as all have been in place for 6 years or less.
I've also got "Jennybelle" (A.obovata) and a seedling A.lamarckii, but
neither has produced as well as the Timm & Success or the local A.laevis
trees.
