Victoria, no I don't know where to learn chill requirement, or even how to
measure it. It never occurred to me in this climate it could be an issue.
However, this winter it never got colder than minus 35, perhaps thats the
problem. I pulled them out in april. We did have good snow cover, which I'm
sure insulated the roots. Perhaps warm roots affect the chill tally? That
would be wild to take a tree to the local meat locker in June and tell him
to store it a month cause our winter is too mild. Mn. Del Z 2/3
