Stick to SHORT spurs with Canadice - 2 buds each. This variety is very
fruitful and it's very easy to overcrop it, which reduces fruit quality and
the wood won't harden well. It's not even a bad idea to remove a few flower
clusters, but do it just AFTER fruit set. It has such tight clusters that
if you remove them before they bloom, the remaining ones set that much
tighter.
Cane pruning is not a good idea with this variety as it's even easier to
overcrop it that way.
