Hi,

Listening to Paul Parent's garden club on web radio this
morning and he mentioned an old rooting technique, used in
England over 100 years ago.

You take cuttings in April, while still dormant, put a small
hole in a potato and insert the cutting into the hole, and
bury the potato in soil.

The potato provides constant moisture, and starches to the
cuttings while it roots.

Anyone tried it? Wonder if rooting hormones would improve
the process.

Just thought I would pass it along.

Regards,
Tom
