That's an advantage! I have some locust I have built arbors and fences with,
and the tree is still growing. The guy who introduced black locust to Hungary
is regarded as a sort of cross between Johnny Appleseed and Thomas Jefferson.
Makes good honey, (tasty flowers) and it's an incredible boat or furniture
wood if you don't burn it.
