Just got my first buartnuts on a 5 year old tree.  Of 6 trees of the same age,
only one produced any nuts this year.  Can I harvest the nuts before they hit
the ground (or fall into the clutches of squirrels).  & to eat these, does one
roast them or is letting them dry like hickories sufficient?  Geez, what 
newbie
questions, sorry.
