There is a crabapple called Garnet that has been described in a U of A
publication as having limbs that are "impossible to break from the
trunk" ... "very strong wide- angled crotches."
And that it is a vigorous stembuilder. Anyone have any experience
with this tree?
One plan would be to protect it until it gets too big for the bears
to push over. Any of you back- woods growers know how big that would
be?.
