Hi Janice,

You are in Maine. I am a little confused which MSAR unit you are with.
Pine Tree or Mid Maine? Established in 2000 sounds like Pine Tree but
I thought only Mid Maine was still operational.

I expect you know Maine Association for Search and Rescue has existing
standards for MSAR. They might be of use to some others on MSAR-Riders:

We could help you brainstorm if you told us more about your resource.

By the way, the Vermont 100 endurance race is on July 19-20; it has a
30 hour limit and many competitors, including endurance horse riders,
run at night. Volunteering to help with that race could be great team
building and training for your group. Do you have radios or ham radio
licenses?
