Thanks, glad to return some bit of useful information.

I've never operated a Magellan; my first GPS was an Etrex Legend. It was ok
for getting in the ballpark but nothing more. With the 60csx I was able to
map all the trails in the state park (East Fork in Ohio) my MSAR unit is
attached to (you can see them at www.trailqwest.com). I had great reception
even in the heaviest woods.

You brought up some interesting points.
Thus far, I am really impressed with the fact that the Garmin 60CSx
can retain signal in thickly wooded areas as well as inside a home.
Previously, I had a Magellan SportTrack, and its reception did not
come close to this unit's performance.
