If the cursor is drifting when stopped the accuracy of the unit is in
question as well. The basic principle of GPS should mean that if the unit
is sitting on a table it shouldn't move unless the satellites are updated.
However, if it keeps changing which satellites it is using the solution will
change constantly.
By the way, the "man-down" button on most Motorola radios is not protected
on the speaker microphone and is next to the channel select knob. The one
on the portable itself has a small recess to protect it but it is very easy
to trip the alarm just by bending over or banging a door handle with the
speaker microphone top.
