Yes, your point does hold, but so does mine. Both of her MSAR books do give reference to some of the best Mounted Search and Rescue Teams (not mounted patrol teams) that were in operation at the time (and who are still an active MSAR resource), which was the point that I was making. I simply did not view the original post as giving proper credit to the valuable MSAR information that the books do provide.
I do agree that Mounted Patrols and Mounted Parade Units need to have a better understanding of what MSAR really involves before they hang the MSAR Banner on their website.

Yes, but my point holds. The state of the art of many operational
MSAR resources at the time was scarcely beyond mounted patrol. And
that is still true of many MSAR resources today. Especially those
not plugged into MSAR-Riders.
