Exactly Una! Sorry I should have clarified that. Since 'we' dont' search from vehicles very often it slipped my mind to qualify my statement!

For running errands, driving alone seems acceptable to me, but
I would not attempt to drive *and* search. The two tasks are
mutually incompatible. For road searches, there should be at
least one other person in the vehicle, preferably two, working
as spotters.
