Does anyone ever use the K9 and horses at the same time?

Since our local K9 used for backcountry are usually trailing / tracking dogs, it isn't a problem to mix them. Mixing non-scent discriminating dogs with other searchers can be a problem because those dogs can alert on searchers if the wind direction is wrong.

We often have dogs and trackers (on foot or mounted) out at the same time, but we also have vast deep backcountry to cover. Who is assigned where, and when, is incident specific and also based on availability of resources. :)
