Hi Carlos,
The Spanish terms for search and rescue generally seem
to be busqueda y rescate and intervencion y rescate;
a google search on those phrase found several websites
you may find useful:
http://www.rescatecanino.com/ - website devoted to
rescue dogs, by Jaime Parejo, a Spanish trainer and
author of a training book.
http://www.geocities.com/giprmadrid/index.html - home
of Grupo de Intervención con Perros de Rescate de Madrid
http://www.rescate.com/ - Spanish-language SAR mailing
list and resource site, based in Venezuela.
For learning how to navigate, I recommend orienteering,
a recreational and sometimes highly competitive sport.
See these websites:
http://www.orienteering-spain.com/inicio_sw.htm - a
Swedish (?) orienteering club active in Spain, with a
training meet scheduled in Madrid next month.
http://www.orienteering.org/learn.htm - books from the
International Orienteering Federation about orienteering,
including 4 books in Spanish.
http://www.fedo.org/ - Federatión Española de Orientación;
their website has a file error at the moment, but their
contact person Jesús de Miguel Rey <secretaria@fedo.org>
is in Madrid.
Hope this helps,
Una Smith
