Lauri:
I think the dates conflict with an SCA event I have committed to; I'll have
to check my calendar. But, I am interested in pursuing this. I think, first,
I need to find some contacts in the local area. I've gotten lots of great
ideas for direction from people on this list.
As a first time attendee, should I plan on bringing my horse or just
observing? My mare and I have done lots of stuff that I think would prepare
us for this kind of training. We have done lots of parades, open competitive
trail, SCA events (medieval reenactment) that involve running courses with
weapons, etc. Of course, we are probably both out of shape, but that can be
remedied.
Thanks for the offer to stay with you; I'll keep it in mind.
If April does not work for me, will there be other training in your area
this year? You seem to be the closest group for me.
Thanks for all the info!
Tracy
