Molasses is antifreeze for plants. I use 1-2 ounces per gallon of water
and foliar feed as often as I can. Definitely gets me a few degrees protection.
Wind is hard on the plants as Richard says. Gotta protect from wind.

I know I'm hopelessly lazy at this point, but we've got a couple of nights in the mid 30s coming up followed by about 10 days of lows near 50.I've got Napa cabbage out there and Komatsuna and Tokyo Bekanna that I don't know much about their reaction to a light frost. Collards, kale and even chard I won't worry about when the temps are still this high, frost or not.I seem to recall that Napa is pretty tender.Anyone have any experience with any of the above.I'll have it all harvested before the 'next' freeze and would prefer to work on other things right now, if possible.thanks-Allan in WV where we used to get a killing frost the first weekend of October every year and balmy weather until thanksgiving, but, now? Now I'm just not sure!
