For the door I am running a piece of foam that covers three seams by 1/8 of an inch and slightly off of seam on the hinge side. As the door frame is flush on all side save the hinge side which swings in I figure this is the best way to do it. I figure I can always run a rubber flap that will flex with the door as it open. I am also thinking of running those plastic strip in front of the door, but I am going to wait till I see just how bad the recovery is after repeated openings. It is getting cold quickly and while I do not enjoy the loss of energy I am more concerned about the quality of the produce right and figure I can tweak to become more efficient down the line. Hope that all makes sense. I just did night time splits on some bee hives after cutting hay for most the day. I'm beat. Then weather stripping around the entire opening. I made the door so that it barely cleared the threshold. |
