Kathryn To be fair, most rakes like these are ground driven. Our 20 year old New Holland/New Idea 256 is no different. We have a tetterer/rake also but the 256 is an old design that has not been changed in several decades at least. Yeah, the run between 750.00 to 1500.00, maybe even a bit more but I think that price is worth it considering the parts issue. John Deer has its equivalent. If you are TRULY having a parts problem then this is a good deal: http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/grd/2922823135.html And yeah, we've used our pick-up truck to haul and use them in field too. Always a great option. Richard Stewart Carriage House Farm North Bend, Ohio An Ohio Century Farm Est. 1855 (513) 967-1106 |
