We started with an oil based spray (organocide) but the population just kept exploding. We had to finally resort to pyganic sprayed at 2-3 day intervals on a flower crop that we couldn't sell with aphids on it. The populations on the vegetables dropped enough that we've not sprayed them in a week and are allowing beneficials to control what's left.  We've finally gotten enough control on the flower crop that we can back down to something less aggressive tomorrow but have limited choices on what we can use due to phytotoxcity on the blooms. Good times.

Roger that. Here in NE TX, where we spent both weeks of winter deer-fencing a
new planting area, the aphids moved in very early. Those low tunnels we put up
when the cold weather first arrived provided them the perfect heated and
protected shelter by which to multiply by the gazillions during the March
warmth. We've been spraying periodically, but they are still way ahead of us.
