Title: Re: [Market-farming] WWOOFing
We currently have a WWOOFer – a young man from France who arrived on May 10 planning to stay one month but just this morning he extended his stay an additional month.  He had no farm experience but is doing beautifully and it has enticed our similar age grandson to come help.  I’m getting so much more work done than I would by myself – if the rain would stop  our gardens would be beautiful this year for a change!

I know he worried about the language barrier but it really hasn’t been a problem and we have yet to use the translator app I downloaded for my iPad. We are treating him as one of the family and he fits in well.

I’m sure there are bummers among them but I would certainly do this again.  No pay, just room and board, but I’m letting him burn any of the music we all have to take home with him.

Has anyone on this list had any experience with WWOOFers?  I imagine there's been a wide variety of experiences, good bad and/or ugly.  We're so far behind here, the idea of bringing on WWOOFers is now being considered as one option to get caught up.  Thanks all.....
