I finally saw a Planet Jr in action, and saw how easy it is
to take the seed hopper off to empty (one of my big hesitations in looking at
photos of it). Has anyone had hands on experience with the two to make
comparison? Johnny’s saw the European is lighter weight and the seed
plates are easier to change. It appears to be less expensive new than used
Planet Jr.s are, and less than half the price of a new Cole/Planet Jr. The
potential downside I see, other than some plastic, is it looks like maybe the
seed hole is on the side, so would not feed out the last small amount of seed? Beth Spaugh http://rhomestead.com
