In the recent past, discussion here was on reusable wood boxes vs.
disposable plastics. Coleman in Maine uses wooden boxes lined with
cellophane, as cellophane is biodegradable. Could this or a similar
system be the best of both?
>From my reading of microbiology of food-borne pathogens, it was
striking that in certain studies, household cutting boards of plastic
harbored more pathogens than cutting boards made of wood. So it's not
a given that, at least for reusables, plastics clean up better than
wood.
But, I am unaware of local and regional regs regarding surfaces in
contact with food, and also USDA organic regs on same.

So thankful for a hoophouse to play in the dirt; we're tired of this
white stuff!
