I checked with my fellow vendor on the iphone card reader situation. She says
she can't remember the exact fees, but it is something like 2.75% if you use
the reader, 3.00% if you have to enter the account number manually, plus a
.30 cent fee/transaction. There is also a maximum amount that can be run at
one time, $60.00. She's had several sales that were $62.00 and she either had
to run it as two separate sales, or just let the two dollars go.
There is no monthly fee, other than whatever data plan she chose.
She did mention that when her customers found out she could now take
debit/credit cards they bought more.
I hope this helps,
Carla
