I have a love affair with vinegar. It is a great agent for cottons. Put in on and let it sit for a while. I have removed tomato stains, also, by putting lemon juice on synthetic fabrics and leaving out in the sun for short time, then slight scrub/rinse just like I do with vinegar. I wash everything right away after doing this and I always add vinegar to my wash as well. It works good most of the time.
