One thing that we found out this year is to not try to do stale seed beds
and then flame any of the small seeded brassicas (ie. Arugula, braising mix,
turnips, even radishes). When we tilled the beds and then let it set for
about a week an a half before planting. Then a few days later we flamed.
For the arugula and braising mix we then put reemay over top. Things came
up great without weeds. However, within two days the flea beetles were
right there and decimated all the small plants (even those under reemay).
