Here in Nova Scotia, I buy baskets for $5.95, I figure the filling is $2 to $3 a basket and the seeds and time must get me up to close to $10. What do you use to fill the baskets? I've been using a mixture of regular potting soil and one that has moisturizing globules in it - rather expensive. Maybe I don't need the latter.

Yes I know the $12 is on the low side, however I am making a good profit. I was wondering about selling them for $14 and two for $25. But I don't want to be greedy at my smaller hometown market. My one market in more of a urban area, I am going to charge the higher price. It is also further away and costs more to sell at. I have over 100 of these baskets to sell this year. I spread out them so they are different sizes and I will be able to sell them well into June. The reason is that when people buy the Topsy Turvy tomato hanger and the tomato dies, they will be looking for another idea of a hanging tomato.
If you want to know what I am talking about with the hanging tomato baskets, here is a picture of one from last year.

Or you could look at the blog after my name to look at this years offering.
