60 inches on the ground??!  I'll stop complaining now.  I don't use a heat mat for onions, just start in a flat and keep watered until I plant in the ground.  They are really hardy little plants.

This is my first try at starting onions from seeds. They have sprouted. Should I turn off my heating mat? I am keeping the tops of flats misted and they are getting about 12 hours of light. Anything else I should be doing?
