Hi,
I am a new grower in East Central Illinois, and have taken over greenhouse production for an organic vegetable farm. I have worked on the farm for years, and now I trying a hand at actually planning the plantings and rotations. We have ten greenhouses, and I can't believe how complicated this is.

I am planning spring planting (up to the last minute), and noticed in records for last year that all of the turnips and radishes that were planted at the beginning of Feb last year bolted. I have read that bolting can be triggered by really cold, or really hot weather, but I am wondering if I should plant the turns and rads after the daylength increases mid Feb. Could it be they  bolted because of short daylength? The baby chard, planted at the same time, didn't bolt. What do other people do with early plantings of turnips and radishes in the greenhouse? I have been reading through old posts and haven't seen specific info on this.

Also, is there a search function for the archives? Can't find it..
Thanks for all the info I've already gotten from reading old posts. Great list!
