Jay, the last time I looked at their pictures, the high tunnels at Michigan State had their rows in that configuration.  I think in a 30' wide house however, and they MAY have had aisles at the outside as well as through the center.

Subject: [Market-farming] Row Direction in a High Tunnel

I am sitting here with 12 inches or more of snow on the ground and I am making plans for the spring. I have a question in regards to row lay out.  I have an 18 by 45 high tunnel, running North and South, that I am going to plant alot of greens and other cool weather crops in.  I currently have 4 row running north and south in it.  I was wondering about putting a 2-3 foot aisle down the middle of the tunnel and have 3-4 foot wide  and 8 foot long beds running east and west.  I would put a one foot aisle between each bed.  I figure I would have 10 beds on each side.  I figure this would be a good use of space and would provide me more growing space.  Does anyone plant this way?  I would like to know your thoughts.

Thanks,

Jay
