Stand-out Varieties: Cauliflower: Cassius- First time growing, every plant I put out, produced a perfect snow white head. Huge leaves to keep it blanched. Tomatoes: Estiva from Johnny's These were in my hoop house. They are doing great. Great flavor and quantity. They are smaller in size, but I put them in baskets and sell without a problem. Big Beef: Still picking, averaging 32 pounds a plant. Tomatoberry: Neat shape, long shelf life Tumbling Toms: Put two plants in a 10 inch hanging basket. Very beautiful and productive. Some people are still picking them from June. Cavali Zucchini: parthenocarpic squash VERY PRODUCTIVE! I planted these and Perfect Pick. I probably picked 4 to 1 ratio of these wonderful light green zucchini to the green ones. To bad, I sold 1 to every 4 of the dark green ones! Vertina, Alibi and H-19 little leaf cucumbers: Great flavor and production Heirloom Cucumber Dragon's Egg from Bakers Creek. Great production and flavor hard sales, but always repeat customers. Low Points: Orange Blossom Tomatoes, nice color, low production, Suyo Long Cucumbers, blah! Cajun Delight Okra, the old Clemson Spineless put this variety to shame. All American winner, not for me. Saharo Pepper, Give me back the variety it replaced All my melons, my fault too much rain and not enough time equals weed patch and no melons! Ok, a few. No sales. These were all grown in North Central Kansas. Jay --- On Thu, 9/17/09, Curtis Millsap <cmillsap1 AT yahoo.com> wrote:
