A local guy decided that he needed a snap bean harvester as he could not get a steady crew for hand picking; so he bought a single row unit only to discover that is was even harder to find the crew to run that for the 15 minuits a day that it had to run for him and his several wholesale customers.
Bean harvesters are a once over/all or nothing deal which means a lot extra muct be planted to match crop to needs. The ones I interveiwed said that the planting is rolled flat at planting must not be disturbed (the pre emergent weed program must be excellent) as any loose soil would be picked by the harvester and ruin the crop.
