Bear in mind also that poultry will be leaving fresh manure wherever they go. This isn't a problem in some situations (in some it may even be an advantage), but it is a problem in others.

In my experience with guineas, they eat all the green strawberries and peck holes in every ripe or semi ripe tomato. I’ve seen them jump up and get hornworms off tomato plants. They do eat grasshopper, ticks and who knows what else.
