Ray,

I am glad to see someone else is trying these this year too. I just planted my yesterday. My spot gets morning sun and is somewhat shaded in the afternoon.

I would like to know what others have to say about the shade cloth too.

I'm getting ready to try the summer crisp lettuces.  I'm wondering if I should start in seed trays  and transplant or direct seed in the garden.  My selected site gets morning sun, but by mid afternoon is in shade.  Do you think I can get by without shade cloth.  I am in Taylorsville Kentucky.
