I think it is a model 122. Finger type. We used it to transplant our Cole
crops, which were in speedling 200's. It worked fairly well for that. We had
a few root balls that didn't get covered well, but it wasn't a big deal.
We've moved on to cut flowers, some of which are in the same size speedlings,
and it seems to be dragging the plants and then covering the whole thing. It
did this with lettuce too, but we made some adjustments and it worked better.
Maybe my plants are just too small? With the Cole crops I had more of a stem
so I could place them better in the fingers. With the flowers, I'm having to
have the finger close on the root ball to hold it in place, otherwise the
plants fall out.
I think I will move onto a different size plant, and see if it works better,
before I try readjusting the whole thing.
Thank you so much for your help,
Carla Maness
